About USCF Calculator
USCF Calculator is a web tool that helps tournament players get a quick, intuitive estimate of how a single event might impact their US Chess (USCF) rating.
You enter your current rating, your total score, and the ratings of your opponents. The site then approximates:
- New rating – an estimated post-tournament rating.
- Rating change – how many points you might gain or lose.
- Performance rating – the playing strength your results correspond to.
- Expected score – what you were statistically expected to score going in.
- Norm hint – whether the performance looks like it could be norm-level (unofficially).
The calculations are inspired by public US Chess rating information and rating estimators, but this site is not an official USCF product and does not replace official rating reports.
